| Foundation and Diploma Training Courses Overview | |
| Foundation Course The ACH Foundation Course is accredited by the National Council For Hypnotherapy and students succesfully completing the course are eligible for Licentiate Membership of this organisation. Before acceptance to the Foundation Course applicants are interviewed by course tutors. Academic excellence is not the main criteria for acceptance, many other factors, including maturity and personal qualities are considered. The Foundation Course is essentially practical in nature, with emphasis on demonstrations by tutors on volunteer students and genuine clients. Students practise skills that they have been taught under supervision. The aim of the Foundation Course is to give students a body of knowledge and skills that will enable them to establish a practice and work effectively at this level of competence. It includes basic traditional techniques and an introduction to some of the concepts and skills that will be developed more fully in The Advanced Course. The Academy’s Foundation Course Certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course. Supervision is compulsory for the first two years of clinical practice. After completion of the Foundation Course students are entitled to free student membership for one year. Qualified members are required to complete Advanced Training within a given time so as to obtain the Diploma and retain full membership and their licence to practice. | |

It is also designed for those who have trained elsewhere in Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Counselling or one of the caring professions who either have an interest in specific Master Class subjects and who wish to do only certain modules, or those who wish to complete the full Diploma of the Academy so as to extend their professional skills.
The aim of the Advanced Course is to give students elegance and sophistication using both classical skills and some of the very newest techniques currently being developed in Hypnotherapy. Most modules include background theory, live demonstrations and supervised practise by the students. In some modules use will also be made of video material.
