Students are
expected to undertake a series of case studies to explore and develop work
within the period of the sessions.
STUDENT
CONFIDENTIALTY
All students
should be aware that confidentiality in teaching, course work and practical
sessions, should be observed at all times.
Nothing of a confidential or personal nature, either observed or learnt,
should be divulged to anyone inside or outside the training group without the
express permission of the individual concerned.
STUDENTS’
COMPLAINTS AND APPEALS PROCEDURE
Students
must undertake not to commit any offence likely to bring their professional
name or that of the training establishment into disrepute and to undertake to
inform the training establishment should such as event take place.
A Complaints Committee for students would consist of a Trainer, together
with a minimum of two Council members. The
student would be allowed to have a supporter.
If a student wishes to complain about the standard of teaching or
assessments or about another student, any complaint should be put in writing
to the Council. The Council will
then look at the complaint and if they feel it justified will then set up a
Complaints Committee, consisting of either the Trainer, or if the complaint is
about training, another Council member, together with two other Council
members, to investigate the complaint.
The Complaints Committee will then consider the complaint in detail, and
will submit their findings in writing to the Council for approval.
Interested parties will be notified in writing of any decisions.
If either party want to appeal against the decision, they must do so in
writing but any costs involved in further meetings must be borne by the
appellant.
Appeal will
be possible to a full Council meeting and decision of that meeting will be
final.
Please
refer full ACH rules for details of these procedures.
