The Academy of Curative Hypnotherapists is a non-profit making organisation established by qualified, experienced and practising hypnotherapists. Aims and objectives of the Academy:
To impart to students a knowledge of hypnosis and to teach methods of inducing, managing and utilising the hypnotic state for therapeutic intervention
To ensure high standards of ethics and procedures
To provide information, assistance and ongoing training to members
To promote research into the field of hypnotherapy
To maintain the Academy as a professional body The Academy is a Member Organisation of the United Kingdom Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations (UKCHO). This body oversees training and accrediting organisations and represents hypnotherapy at a national political level. The Academy is also affiliated to The Institute for Complementary Medicine and is a member of The British Holistic Medical Association. By maintaining supervision of its members, the Academy ensures the professional and ethical practice of Curative Hypnotherapy. Training takes place in small groups and all candidates must pass the Academy's oral, written and practical examinations before being granted the right to use the letters MACH and awarded a license to practice. Ongoing training is a requirement for continued membership of the Academy.
